Our small but mighty team has expanded and we are thrilled to introduce you to our new Front Desk Coordinators: Holly Schmeltzer and Anabel Sanchez.
With a busy fall ahead of us, we are feeling super grateful to have the extra support of two additional staff members. Their presence will allow us to host more events, studio bookings, and community initiatives.

We currently have a group exhibition by the Plein Air Painters of Chicago on view in our flex space and gallery walls through October 25th. Please reach out to schedule a viewing appointment (weekday + weekend times are available).
Who are the Plein Air Painters of Chicago?
The Plein Air Painters Chicago (PAPC) encourages the experience of painting the city of Chicago – the Lake, the skyline, the neighborhoods, the grit and the grime, as well as the natural beauty. We paint on-site in the open air, on beautiful days and sometimes in extreme weather. The PAPC was started by Scott Powers in 2003 to challenge himself and a group of artist friends to paint everyday outside in Chicago. It grew quickly and now boasts a diverse membership of over 90 painters, and is under the auspices of the historic Palette and Chisel Academy of Fine Art.
The core of the PAPC mission is to improve, learn, exhibit, and have fun! While the group enjoys the pleasures of painting the city, there are extra perks like critiques, demos with guest artists, workshops to improve skills, access to the member directory and member gallery, and several exhibits with opportunities to sell work. Currently led by Executive Director Laurie Kennard, the PAPC has become a close-knit community of mutual support and creation, a true community of artists. Painters have forged strong friendships, traveling together to locales such as Montana, Cuba, and Italy, and various Plein Air competitions.

Starting in October, we will have extended studio availability on Friday evenings! You can use our new booking platform to submit a request or, as always, send us an email.
All three of our studios have sprung, marley floors as well as built-in barres, full length mirrors, and a wireless sound system. You can read more about each of our studios on our website.
Private rentals start at $20/hr.
